The Challenge
Breez Security set out to solve a hard problem in identity security: accurately tracing and attributing cloud actions to their originating parties, including cross-account scenarios. As an early-stage startup building an Identity Threat Detection, Investigation and Response (ITDR) platform, they needed engineers who could build the product from zero while simultaneously standing up the company’s own security posture.
The Outcome
In October 2025, JumpCloud acquired Breez Security to accelerate its security roadmap and enhance its Identity Threat Detection and Response capabilities. The identity-attribution system our engineers architected and built became a key part of the acquisition value.
What We Did
- 1Founding engineer; led the product from inception through Seed-round funding.
- 2Architected and built a novel identity-attribution system in AWS that links user actions to specific identities, including cross-account scenarios.
